The purpose of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries is to protect, nurture, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services.

The Alabama Baptist Historical Commission exists to support the Alabama Baptist State Convention and its endeavors: 1) by leading Baptists to preserve, know, and utilize their heritage; 2) by encouraging and assisting Baptists in recording their history, preserving their records for study and research, and preserving, collecting, organizing, and storing historical artifacts and materials related specifically to Alabama Baptist history and generally to Baptist history throughout the world; and 3) by endeavoring to secure the careful consideration of history as decisions are made and plans are projected and executed.

Alabama Baptist Retirement Centers seeks to minister to the elderly in three major areas: Directly in our own campuses of care Indirectly as we assist churches in establishing and strengthening ministries in area retirement facilities Educationally as we offer educational programs in churches and associations that call attention to the needs of the elderly

The Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions is one of the three mission boards, including the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board, supported by Alabama Baptists’ gifts through the Cooperative Program. We have One Mission – The Great Commission, One Program – The Cooperative Program and Many Ministries – Great Commission Ministries. Between annual meetings, Convention bylaws provide that the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions will be the “executive, administrative, fiduciary, and promotional agency of the Convention.”

ALCAP is an interdenominational ministry that, working together with the churches of Alabama, serves as “Alabama’s moral compass.” We are a resource for churches, organizations and interested individuals who desire to make Alabama a safer state for every citizen. An ethical, moral and responsible lifestyle based on biblical standards is an attainable goal that will benefit the entire state.

Alabama Woman's Missionary Union encourages missional living by challenging, equipping, and empowering Alabama Baptists to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Alabama WMU is an auxiliary to the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions with offices in Montgomery. Alabama WMU is responsible for Women's Ministry and works cooperatively with other state entities on evangelism for women and ministry to ministers' wives.

The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention. The ERLC is dedicated to engaging the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ and speaking to issues in the public square for the protection of religious liberty and human flourishing. Our vision can be summed up in three words: kingdom, culture and mission.

Shocco Springs is a nonprofit, Christian conference center in Talladega, Alabama. We are an entity of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, who generously provides us with funding through the Cooperative Program, but we welcome nonprofit organizations and Christian groups of many denominations because we believe that we all have one mission – the Great Commission.
